In 2017, the French start-up Focus Santé launched its first product, Urgences Chrono. Several other closely related products and functionalities would follow, all aiming at resolving one of the most obvious and prevailing problems facing efficient health care: emergency departments’ overcrowding.
The company’s solution aims at optimizing the emergency care pathway, by providing a precise, holistic and real-time view of each emergency room occupancy rate, waiting times and, equally important, by giving highly useful – sometimes vital – information about other points of care available in the patient’s vicinity, which are able to take appropriate and immediate care actions.
