Implicity is the global European leading solution in remote monitoring (RM) of patients with cardiac implanted electronic devices (pacemakers, defibrillators, internal loop recorders). Implicity provides the most advanced integration of data from all manufacturer’s CIEDs (Cardiac Implants Electronic Devices). The platform is designed to make remote clinical workflows more efficient for caregivers so that more patients can ultimately benefit from remote monitoring. The company itself was founded by a cardiologist, so with a razor-sharp view of what caregivers and patients need to make the most out of remote monitoring.
Hospitals/clinics: hospitals need to focus on patients affected by the virus and the infrastructures are dedicated to welcome these patients. Using Implicity helps to limit congestion in hospitals; the thousands of consultations initially scheduled can easily be postponed because patient without any risk can stay at home.
Healthcare professionals: physicians asked to help during the crisis can continue to monitor their patients with cardiac implants. In there is any red alert (shock received by the patient, battery voltage too low…), physician will be the first informed through the notification received by Implicity and the patient has nothing to do. Moreover, informations collected by the cardiologist during a face-to-face consultation are similar with what remote monitoring is able to provide; during this pandemic, if there is no face-to-face consultation the time saved allows medical teams to stay available to other crucial tasks.
Patient association: specialized centers are implanting pacemakers and defibrillators. For the implantation of defibrillators, the hospital must have a specific approval and not all european hospitals have it. Generally the remote monitoring is managed by the implanting center. For patients with defibrillators, the implantation hospital can be far away from home and a face-to-face meeting requires driving hundred kilometers and taking a day off. Implicity responds precisely to this problem because patients without any risk can stay at home. On the other hand, the feeling of security is really important for patients who know that they are “monitored” remotely.
